| Voting Records |
| Each year LABI publishes its Legislative Voting Record. The record is a compilation of certain votes that give business people insight into how their legislator voted on business issues. Key votes are chosen and weighted as to how they impacted the business community.
The vote total of each of the legislators is tabulated and they are ranked according to whether they helped make the business climate in our state more conducive to doing business. We also have compiled a voting record on the State Supreme Court. This particular voting record covers a 25 year period
and deals with economic development issues. It shows that business leaders of this state need to watch not only the legislative actions of our legislators but also the rulings handed down by our Supreme Court. Laws passed by the legislature may be expanded or rewritten by the courts. |

| White Papers |
| From time to time LABI publishes white papers on various issues. The last one presented here deals with taxes and is as on point today as the day it was written in 1998. The paper deals with business taxes and whether business pays its fair share. The basic tenets
still hold true. |
